Introduced by Ernst Grünfeld in the 1920s. It became a favorite of World Champions who liked sharp, theoretical battles, like Kasparov and Svidler.
Play Style
Dynamic. Black allows White a huge pawn center (d4+c4+e4) and then attacks it immediately with moves like ...d5 and ...c5.
